Short-time working scheme

A new state short-time working scheme has been launched in the Czech Republic and will run until August 31st 2015. The subsidy will apply where a genuine work shortfall of between 20% and 60% occurs and employers must use the available time for training and developing staff. Monthly subsidies may not average more than a total of CZK 500,000 (20,000 euros) and CZK 31,000 (1,250 euros) per per individual.
