Mexico: New minimum wage

From January 1st 2017, the daily minimum wage will be increased to $80,04 pesos (US$3.88).  The new wage is comprised of a 3.8% increase, plus a flat-rate of $4 pesos to compensate for the minimum wage freeze last year.  The National Minimum Wage Committee has also made clear that a further increase to $89.05 pesos (US$4.31) a day should be introduced at the first opportunity.
