Denmark: latest collective bargaining rounds

February 2014 saw a round of collective bargaining in Denmark. In general, the agreed wage increases are higher than during the last collective bargaining round and there is greater emphasis on training and education. The Confederation of Danish Industry and the Central Organisation of Industrial Employees concluded a collective agreement that will cover approximately 240,000 blue- and white-collar workers in around 6,000 companies in Denmark. The Danish Construction Association and the United Federation of Danish Workers concluded a three-year agreement covering over 70,000 construction workers. In the transport sector, the Confederation of Danish Industry and 3F’s Transport Group concluded an agreement affecting dock workers, drivers and warehouse workers.
