The Caribbean Employers’ Confederation and the Caribbean Congress of Labour have agreed to establish formal bipartite forums in fifteen Caribbean states. The agreement was reached during a meeting that took place earlier this month under a project funded by the European Union and carried out by the International Labour Organization. During the meeting it was recognised that both employers and employee representatives need to be more involved in the curriculum and development of national vocational and technical training institutions and that tackling youth unemployment in the region is a priority.
