Guernsey (Channel Islands): Proposals for an interim increase in benefit rates

The Committee for Employment and Social Security has recommended a one-off increase of 2.9% to help combat “exceptionally high” inflation. Increases have been proposed for most benefits including, but not limited to, the States Pension, carer’s allowance, and income support. If the proposals are approved by the States, the changes will take effect from the first week of July 2023.
