The following nine holidays are public holidays in Taiwan: Founding Day of the Republic of China January 1st Peace Memory Day February 28th National Independent Day October 10th Chinese New Year’s Eve 31st December of the lunar calendar Chinese New Year January 1st to January 3rd of the lunar calendar Women Day and Children’s Day combined the day before Tomb Sweeping Day Tomb Sweeping Day Qingming Festival of the lunar calendar Dragon Boat Festival May 5th of the lunar calendar Mid-Autumn Festival August 15th of the lunar calendar Some sectors will be entitled to a day off such as Labour Day, Armed Forces Day, and Teachers’ Day …
