UAE :: Stopovers and visitor visas

Outside pandemic restrictions, a 96-hour (four-day) transit visa exists in Abu Dhabi – which may be very convenient for those on business trips. This is available for all nationalities travelling through the Terminal 3 transit area at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The Transit visa may be obtained at a fee, and it needs to be applied in advance. It is not extendable, nor renewable. Along with the transit visa, travellers must also have a valid passport or travel document that has a minimum validity of six months, a ticket to their destination and a personal photo. Transit visas also exist for 48 hours free of charge. These are also non-extendable or renewable, and as such, applicants should be certain which one they are applying for.

NB: Visa-free access between the two countries is now allowed in the case of UAE with Mexico, Israel, Kosovo and Mongolia.
