Although it is not strictly necessary to provide employees with a written employment contract, at the beginning of their employment, employees who work over 24 hours per month must receive a document stating: –    the employer’s full name and address, –    the employee’s name and occupation or a brief description of the work they will undertake, –    the place(s) of work, –    the date on which employment commenced, –    the normal working hours and days of work, –    the wage and any method used to calculate wages, –    the rate for overtime work,  –    any other payments or payments in kind the employee is entitled to, –    any deductions which may be made to pay, –    how frequently the employee will be paid, –    the employee’s leave entitlements, –    notice required to terminate the employment, –    whether any previous employment counts towards their continuity of service, –    details of any council or sectoral determinations which cover the business, –    reference to any other documents forming part of the employment contract …
